Requirements

  • Combination of education and work experience
  • Three to five years of experience in field marketing, communications, sales or community outreach
  • Experience working in lower income and inner-city communities
  • Strategic and critical thinking skills
  • Intermediate command of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong business acumen and political savvy
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people in individual and group settings
  • Strong organizing skills, with the ability to prioritize and respond to shifting deadlines
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to manage diverse and deadline-oriented workflow

Responsibilities

  • Engage in efforts to increase community involvement and visibility with members in lower income communities.
  • Provide benefit education related to government programs and products.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Marketing and Community Relation to drive strategy and end-to-end management of customer experience delivered across all customer touch points.
  • Provide information to empower members to make decisions about personal healthcare and increase self-management abilities.
  • Candidate must reside in the local area due to high level of in-person community activities.
  • Support efforts to increase community visibility and involvement those that are eligible for government insurance programs.
  • Partner with community organizations (e.g. RI Department of Elderly Affairs, Senior Centers, community organizations etc.), government agencies, and local businesses to coordinate community outreach and educational events.
  • Facilitate and conduct educational seminars and participate in community development activities to promote government programs throughout the state.
  • Maintain supportive communication with the community and provide education; by promoting health management programs and providing community resources available to members.
  • Develop and foster strong customer relationships between local organizations and community partners.
  • Provide information regarding government products and services and act as both educator and consultant.
  • Seek out and identify local marketing events and sales opportunities (i.e. health and wellness fairs, educational seminars, web tutorials etc.).
  • Work with Consumer Engagement team to develop key performance indicators to track and monitor progress.
  • Collaborate with internal business areas to ensure consistency of communication initiatives and outreach to targeted populations thru multiple channels and marketing campaigns.
  • Act as a liaison both internally and externally for senior product lines.
  • Participate in any necessary projects regarding the development and launch of new products.
  • Assist representatives with community development activities.
  • Provide consultative support to internal stakeholders to design, streamline, and manage the customer experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
