As a Consulting Associate, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance based in Philadelphia, PA, you’ll play a key role in helping clients meet regulatory requirements, reduce risk, and advance their sustainability goals—all while protecting people and the planet.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related discipline. Or equivalent experience.
  • 0–2 years of EHS experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, plus analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks, work independently and as a team member, and travel locally up to 60% of the time.
  • Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as ASP, EIT, CHMM, OSHA30 or similar.
  • Familiarity with EHS compliance programs and/or management systems.
  • Strong interest in developing technical and consulting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with a variety of EHS regulatory compliance and risk management projects.
  • Prepare plans, permits, and reports for hazardous waste, air quality, stormwater, and wastewater programs.
  • Conduct EHS compliance assessments and implement corrective actions to meet federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support development of EHS compliance and management system programs.
  • Provide on-site EHS compliance support to clients as needed.
  • Conduct environmental fieldwork and audits, including sampling and ecological studies.
  • Carry out inspections, incident investigations, safety observations, job safety analyses, and risk assessments based on OSHA requirements.
  • Support multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule while ensuring quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to deliver exceptional client service.
