The Consultant, Alternative Funding Division (AFD), plays a key role in supporting the agency’s alternatively funded employer medical plan business. This individual will partner closely with producer teams within their designated region to support self-funding initiatives, including prospecting, advisement, and assessment of groups evaluating a transition to self-funding. The Consultant will work collaboratively with the AFD Analyst to assist in pricing RFPs for stop-loss, pharmacy benefit management (PBM), Third Party Administrator (TPA), and carve-out arrangements. The Consultant serves as a subject matter resource on self-funding concepts and assists in advancing the agency’s growth objectives through strategic advisement, education, and producer support.
