The Opportunity As a consultant on our team, you will play a meaningful role in shaping policy solutions that impact communities and organizations throughout Michigan. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (public policy, economics, political science, or related field preferred)
  • One to three years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Curious and eager to learn
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Analytical and thoughtful problem-solver
  • Clear and professional communicator
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with other computer software is a plus, including familiarity with AI, ArcGIS, Tableau, or SPSS

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and analyze policy research at the local, state, and national levels
  • Translate data and findings into clear, compelling reports and strategy documents
  • Draft and edit research reports, grant applications, and client materials
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights
  • Apply PSC’s quality standards to ensure accuracy and excellence in every deliverable
  • Support the planning and facilitation of meetings, focus groups, and workshops
  • Manage research tasks across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and assist with other engagement efforts
  • Help ensure projects stay on track and clients receive timely, high-quality work products
  • Interact professionally and positively with clients as part of a project team
  • Collaborate with teammates in a fast-paced environment
  • Seek and receive feedback with a growth mindset and actively seek out learning opportunities
