The Role Construction Training and Development Specialist I supports the Project Support Planning Manager in the implementation of the Project Support Planning business function. The overall business function is to advise and assist construction teams with the development and management of budget, schedule, and project reporting to ensure favorable project outcomes. To that end, the Construction Training and Development Specialist I facilitates delivery and design of training programs which are specific to the needs of the Construction business unit processes and systems. The focus of this position is facilitation and delivery of program curriculum for new and existing Construction associates with the goal of ensuring optimal performance. In addition, the position demonstrates leadership traits that promote effective teamwork, positive working relationships with all internal and external business partners, and understands, embraces and communicates the values, goals and mission statement of AvalonBay Communities and the Construction business unit. This position requires thought partnership and collaboration with the Construction leadership group, Information Technology, Human Resources and Learning & Development. The Construction Training and Development Specialist I is expected to work independently with limited supervision from the Project Support Planning Manager.
