Construction Technician - Laborer
About The Position
Insituform Technologies LLC, an Azuria Water Solutions company, is a global leader in pipeline protection services with over 50 years of experience. The company values employee development and empowerment and is seeking innovative individuals to join their team to maintain critical infrastructure worldwide. This specific role is for Construction Technicians / Laborers with valid CDL licenses in Englewood, CO. The primary responsibility is the installation of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) for various municipal, industrial, storm, and sewer line rehab and repair projects. The position requires working with minimal oversight while closely adhering to instructions. A limited-time sign-on bonus of $4,000 is offered for new hires with a valid CDL license, with reduced bonuses available for those without a CDL. The starting pay ranges from $24.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required with a clean motor vehicle report
- Must possess a Class A or B CDL and be aligned with Insituform’s motor vehicle standards
- Must be able to wear a respirator and body harness while entering confined spaces
- Ability to lift / move up to 75 pounds and use pneumatic, battery-powered, or electric tools
- Comfortable working outside at job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles
- Must be able to travel weekly (potentially out of state)
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience as a Construction Laborer and / or Installation Technician highly preferred
- OSHA certifications are a plus
- Hazmat endorsement is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Repair various types of sewer lines by using a specific product and process
- Ensure pull-in tube is properly prepared for installation by examining D-Rings, chains, and attachment to pulling cable
- Install the prepared tube using a winch, backhoe, crane, or other appropriate material
- Monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure equipment is working properly
- Cure resin products using an inflation tube, banding boots, layflat, boiler hose, etc.
- Learn / train on Insituform’s products, processes, safety procedures, installation techniques, and equipment
- Drive various vehicles (pickup trucks to tractor-trailer rigs) to haul crews and equipment
- Perform set up and clean up tasks at job site / shop
