As a Landscape Construction Superintendent, you will lead field operations for large-scale landscape construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery. You’ll oversee crews, manage subcontractors, coordinate with clients and project managers, and take ownership of site execution from start to finish. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends people management, technical expertise, and operational excellence.

  • Field Leadership: Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Crew Management: Schedule, direct, and develop field personnel to maximize productivity, efficiency, and safety.
  • Project Execution: Maintain daily progress, monitor project timelines, and ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Quality Control: Review workmanship regularly to ensure it meets company standards and design intent.
  • Client & Team Communication: Work closely with Project Managers, Landscape Architects, and clients to provide updates, address issues, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Material & Equipment Oversight: Manage delivery, storage, and usage of materials and equipment to prevent waste and downtime.
  • Safety Management: Lead safety meetings, enforce compliance, and create a culture of accountability and care on every jobsite.
  • Documentation: Maintain daily reports, track progress, log deliveries, and assist with change orders and project documentation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency, cost savings, and process improvement across teams and projects.
  • Proven experience leading landscape, civil, or site construction projects.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple moving parts.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, schedules, and specifications.
  • Deep understanding of landscape construction methods, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in landscape or site construction preferred.
  • Knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, and project coordination.
  • While a degree is valued, practical experience and leadership in the field are what define success in this role.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
