About The Position

Heartland Construction, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Project Superintendent to support its active and growing construction portfolio throughout Hampton Roads. This role provides the opportunity to lead a range of project types across the company’s portfolio, with the expectation of full-time, on-site leadership dedicated to a single project assignment to ensure disciplined execution, quality outcomes, and schedule performance. The Project Superintendent will be responsible for leading day-to-day field operations on predominantly ground-up new construction projects, with occasional additions and renovations, depending on portfolio needs.

Requirements

10+ years of superintendent experience preferred
Proven experience delivering ground-up projects in the $50M+ range; experience on smaller projects is beneficial
Background in healthcare, hospitality, K-12, higher education, or commercial construction
Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and field leadership best practices
Ability to work on projects located throughout Hampton Roads

Responsibilities

Provide full-time, on-site leadership for a single assigned project from mobilization through closeout
Plan and manage construction sequencing, schedules, and subcontractor coordination
Enforce safety, quality control, and site logistics standards
Coordinate closely with Project Management, owners, architects, and inspectors
Maintain an organized, professional jobsite environment aligned with company standards
