About The Position

Our client is an established, veteran-owned Construction Management firm with a twenty-year track record of excellence in the commercial and government sectors. They are currently launching a new project in the Pittsburgh area and are looking for a dedicated Superintendent to lead the charge on the ground. This is a confidential search for a local leader who understands the specific rigors of government-contracted work and takes pride in a job site that runs with precision. As the Superintendent, you are the primary point of contact and the lead coordinator for all on-site activities. You won't just be watching the clock; you will be driving the schedule, managing subcontractors, and ensuring every inch of the build matches the project specifications. This role is perfect for a Pittsburgh local who knows the regional landscape and has a sharp eye for technical details.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent, specifically with commercial or government projects.
  • Residency in the Greater Pittsburgh area (local knowledge is a major plus).
  • The ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, architectural drawings, and government specs with ease.
  • Strong communication skills and the authority to manage diverse crews effectively.
  • A "get it done" attitude paired with a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.

Nice To Haves

  • Our client is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). While we are looking for the most qualified candidate for the job, Veterans are always preferred and highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily on-site leadership and supervision for all construction activities.
  • Master the project plans and specifications to ensure 100% compliance.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to keep the project on a strict timeline.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and professional job site in accordance with OSHA and government standards.
  • Conduct quality control inspections and proactively resolve field issues.
  • Act as the boots-on-the-ground representative for project stakeholders.
