About The Position

The Construction Superintendent plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This position requires coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers to maintain workflow efficiency and quality standards. The superintendent is responsible for enforcing safety protocols and regulatory compliance to protect workers and the public. They serve as the primary point of contact on-site, resolving issues promptly and facilitating clear communication among all stakeholders. Ultimately, the role ensures that construction projects meet design specifications and client expectations while fostering a productive and safe work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction supervision or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites within the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Certification such as OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety or Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
  • Experience with project management software like Procore, PlanGrid, or Microsoft Project.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing large teams on complex projects.
  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices and LEED certification standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily construction operations and coordinate subcontractor activities to maintain project schedules.
  • Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve potential issues or delays.
  • Collaborate with project managers to update progress reports, manage resources, and adjust timelines as needed.
  • Enforce safety policies and conduct safety meetings to promote a culture of safety on the job site.
  • Manage on-site personnel, including laborers, subcontractors, and vendors, to optimize productivity.
  • Facilitate communication between field staff, office personnel, and clients to ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Review and approve daily work logs, timesheets, and material deliveries to maintain accurate records.
