We are a leading provider of pole barns, barndominiums, and houses, operating a full-service lumber yard and manufacturing our own metal siding and trim. We are seeking a Construction Sales Auditor to serve as a key link between Sales, Construction, and Operations—ensuring accuracy, consistency, and smooth project execution from sale through build. The Construction Sales Auditor is responsible for reviewing and validating sales orders, material lists, contracts, and project documentation against approved plans and customer agreements. This role focuses on identifying errors, omissions, and inconsistencies before projects move forward, helping prevent material issues, delays, and customer dissatisfaction. The Construction Sales Auditor supports operational success by improving sales accuracy, strengthening internal processes, and serving as a problem-solver between Sales, Coordinators, and field teams.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of residential and/or post-frame building experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with take-offs, material lists, and construction project support.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with computers and project management software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Auditing & Verification Review sales orders, material lists, contracts, and blueprints for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify missing items, incompatible components, and documentation discrepancies.
  • Ensure consistency between quoted materials, approved plans, and project documentation.
  • Maintain organized audit records and supporting documentation.
  • Sales Accuracy & Process Improvement Identify recurring sales or documentation errors and communicate trends to supervisors.
  • Assist with training and coaching Sales staff to improve quoting and documentation accuracy.
  • Update stock plans, material lists, and audit tools based on corrections and improved building methods.
  • Work cross-functionally to reduce errors and improve internal workflows.
  • Construction & Contractor Support Function as a liaison between Sales, Coordinators, Contractors, and internal teams.
  • Assist in resolving last-minute material or documentation issues to keep projects on schedule.
  • Provide timely, professional communication to customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Track service requests and recurring issues to support long-term operational improvements.
  • Reporting Compile audit findings and provide clear, concise reports to management.
  • Highlight risk areas related to sales accuracy, material readiness, and process gaps.
  • Support leadership with insights that improve project flow and customer satisfaction.
