We are seeking a Construction Safety Manager to be responsible for promoting and ensuring site safety. Our Safety Managers have comprehensive knowledge of day-to-day safety field operations including planning, coordinating, and enforcing safety regulations and codes. You will also teach and coordinate site specific trainings and assign and monitor new hire trainings. You will be the point of contact for all safety related matters and ensure a safe and fully compliant work environment!

Requirements

  • BCSP Certification minimum of Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), ASP or CSP.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • First Aid, Narcan, Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR, and AED training
  • Emergency procedures training
  • Mental Health First Aid Training
  • Current OSHA 510 certification.
  • NFPA 70E Electrical Safety certification.
  • Ability to walk 8+ miles per day.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Safetymojo, BIM 360, and Procore.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement site and project-specific safety plans, including
  • Safety orientation and training
  • Job Hazard Analysis and high-risk activity identification and mitigation planning
  • Fatigue management plan
  • Pre-task plan
  • Stretch and bend program
  • PPE requirements
  • Housekeeping, signage, barricade plans
  • Schedule and coordinate and / or perform equipment safety checks.
  • Teach safety related classes (Aerial lift, LOTO, electrical safety, etc.)
  • Coordinate other site-specific training with electrical contractor and GC.
  • Prepare and submit weekly safety reports
  • Walk the site looking for hazards and mitigation
  • Supervise high-risk activities
  • Work with other subcontractor safety professionals to develop site improvement.
  • Participate in weekly safety committee meetings.
  • Help investigate injuries, PD, and / or near misses and participate in Root Cause Analysis.
