About The Position

The Construction Safety Manager is responsible for administering, implementing, and enforcing Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs across active construction projects while serving as a key communication link between corporate-level clients, company leadership, and field operations. This role requires a strong public speaker with the ability to lead large group safety meetings involving subcontractors, clients, and internal teams. The Construction Safety Manager must be committed to protecting both the company and its employees by driving compliance, managing risks, and promoting a strong, consistent safety culture.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7–10 years of construction safety experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with corporate-level clients and senior management.
  • Strong public speaking skills with experience leading group safety meetings.
  • Proven field-based safety leadership and independent work ethic.
  • Experience leading incident investigations and safety reporting.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid state driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Safety certifications such as CHST, COSS, COSM, CSP, or equivalent.
  • OSHA 10 and/or 30 certification.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • OSHA 500, 510, 501, or 511 certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee day-to-day construction safety operations across assigned projects.
  • Serve as the primary safety representative communicating with corporate-level clients and internal management.
  • Lead and facilitate large group safety meetings, orientations, and toolbox talks with subcontractors, clients, and company personnel.
  • Demonstrate strong public speaking skills to clearly communicate safety expectations, requirements, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct routine site safety inspections, audits, and field observations.
  • Identify hazards and work with project teams to develop and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Lead incident investigations, including fact-finding, root cause analysis, and corrective action development.
  • Prepare incident reports, safety alerts, and regulatory documentation as required.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety plans, procedures, and permits.
  • Ensure compliance with company Safety Management Systems and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Support and protect company interests by ensuring contractual safety requirements and client expectations are met.
  • Promote employee safety, accountability, and engagement through consistent field presence and leadership.
