About The Position

We’re hiring a Construction Project Manager with a strong self-perform background to lead commercial projects from preconstruction through completion. This role is focused on owning how the work gets built — including budgeting, production, and step-by-step execution in the field. This is not a GC coordination role.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
Background working in a self-performing construction environment
Strong understanding of how work is built in the field (not just managed)
Experience building detailed budgets tied to production and labor
Proven ability to manage field execution, not just subcontractors
Experience with projects $2M+
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs
Experience with Procore or similar tools

Nice To Haves

Managed 10–30+ self-perform field workers
Experience with large commercial interiors or multi-floor buildouts
Strong track record of hitting budgets and production targets
Background as a former foreman/superintendent who moved into PM

Responsibilities

Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout
Build and manage detailed budgets based on actual production and installation steps
Oversee field operations and daily production execution
Drive labor productivity, crew performance, and sequencing
Develop and maintain project schedules tied to field execution
Coordinate materials, equipment, and workflow to support production
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation
Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety
Communicate with clients, field teams, and leadership
