About The Position

West Chester Township has an immediate need to fill a Construction Project Manager Intern position. The position will work at the sole discretion and supervision of the Community Services Director and assist in all assigned areas of project and/or construction development, administration, and management. This position will assist in preparing and reviewing project drawings, construction specifications, project budgets, cost estimates, and bid documents, along with the coordination of all architectural/engineering aspects of assigned projects. You will have the opportunity to review plans and drawings to provide input to the Community Services Director; monitor and inspect assigned projects for quality control, compliance with drawing specifications, construction integrity, and the Township’s interests. Additionally, you will maintain daily project schedules, project budget, and written reports; research programs, projects, and options as assigned, and conduct cost-benefit analyses to determine preferable solutions. This position will further your knowledge and skills both in the office and out in the field! This position is not remote-eligible and requires you to be in the office every day located in West Chester, Ohio. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30am – 3:30pm. The starting pay range is $21.46/hour. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in project and/or construction management with exposure to civil engineering principles and practices
  • Studies focused in architecture, civil engineering, surveying and/or construction management related degree programs
  • Valid Driver's License
