About The Position

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a Project Manager II to join our National Industrial team! This individual will be primarily responsible for administration of assigned projects, including specific phases of project management under limited to no supervision, working with schedules, cost projections, contracts, and project status reports. Some things you can expect to do: Participate in owner/client sales presentations. Engage in design development, budget preparation, and project schedule. Monitor job costs. Prepare and control budget, schedule, and bid documents; negotiate and award subcontracts; help prepare profit projections. Conduct jobsite coordination meetings and job status reports. Conduct project close-out duties, including final cost, punch list, final billing, and final collection of fees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees in engineering or technology are a plus.
  • 6+ years of proven experience in the commercial construction industry (industrial, advanced technology, cold storage, or food & beverage experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, BIM tools).
  • Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.
  • Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with superintendents, subcontractors and owner/clients.
  • Open to travel to project location (up to 50%).

  • Lead by example, display honesty, integrity, and good judgment while maintaining high standards.
  • Have an advanced knowledge of the design-build construction process including preconstruction, major system evaluations, estimating, scheduling, cost control, design and client management.
  • Are a proven team player and have a strong background of leading project efforts, from programming through turnover with contract values from $10-100M+.
  • Bring strong local relationships with national subcontractors, consultants, clients and municipalities.
  • Have design-build project experience in big box industrial and/or warehouse.
  • LEED AP and/or OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred.
