About The Position

We are looking for a Project Manager to oversee commercial flooring and tile installation projects from preconstruction through completion. This role supports a contractor specializing in high-end tile, stone, and flooring systems across commercial construction environments. The position is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and installation quality while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope. This is a strong fit for someone with hands-on flooring or tile experience who understands production, sequencing, and field execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a focus on flooring, tile, or interior finishes
  • Strong knowledge of flooring systems including tile, stone, LVT, and related materials
  • Experience managing installation crews or subcontractors in a production-driven environment
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and finish schedules
  • Proficiency with project management software and construction tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of project financials including budgeting, cost tracking, and change orders
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial flooring and tile projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
  • Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient installation and workflow
  • Review drawings, specifications, and finish schedules to confirm scope and constructability
  • Oversee material procurement, delivery schedules, and inventory coordination
  • Track project financials including job costs, change orders, billing, and forecasting
  • Conduct site visits to monitor installation quality, production rates, and safety compliance
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
  • Communicate regularly with clients, general contractors, and internal teams on project progress
  • Identify and resolve field issues related to layout, sequencing, and installation challenges
