About The Position

This full-time salaried Construction Project Manager role focuses on planning, supervising, and delivering facility and construction projects across office, warehouse, property, and distribution campus environments. The position requires at least five years of experience managing new construction, tenant fit-outs, asset replacements, and site and property maintenance repairs. You will lead projects from initial estimating and planning through execution, safety oversight, and closeout, while coordinating closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal project leadership. The role is based out of an office in the Northeast region and involves regular travel to project sites, with flexible hours to align with client production schedules.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction project manager in facility and/or construction projects, including new construction, tenant fit-outs, asset replacements, and site or property maintenance repairs.
  • Proven ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong pre-construction estimating and bid review skills, including subcontractor pricing solicitation and proposal preparation.
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning and scheduling, including hands-on use of Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear daily updates and interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Highly disciplined, self-starting work style with the ability to take complete ownership of assigned projects and work independently.
  • OSHA 30-hour training or certification, with the ability to serve as a designated safety representative on project sites.
  • Focused understanding of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and the ability to identify and evaluate hazard potential on assigned projects.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Build / Autodesk Construction Cloud for daily project reporting and punch list management.
  • Ability to effectively use mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets for project work and communication.
  • Strong general computer skills, including mastery of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, Teams, and Smartsheet.
  • Ability to use Bluebeam or Adobe PDF tools to review drawings, documents, and forms.
  • Knowledge and practical understanding of safety practices and procedures such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Control of Hazardous Energy (COHE), confined space entry, roof access safety, hot work, fire watch, impairment reporting and tagging, and implementing Methods of Procedure (MOP).
  • Demonstrated skills in project supervision, including directing subcontractors and exercising Stop Work authority when required.
  • Demonstrated skills in project management, including preparation of reports, documentation, and organized recordkeeping.
  • Ability and willingness to travel by air or ground to project sites within approximately a 4–5 hour driving radius and across assigned regions as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
  • Training or prior certification in OSHA 30 is preferred if not already held; candidates must be willing to maintain and apply this credential.
  • Experience using Autodesk AutoCAD or similar tools for reviewing and understanding design documents.
  • Experience with Autodesk Build and Autodesk Construction Cloud platforms for project documentation and collaboration.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet spreadsheets and forms for project tracking and reporting.
  • Experience using Bluebeam or advanced PDF tools for markups, reviews, and document control.
  • Willingness to complete and maintain training in proprietary safety program orientations and classes as required.
  • Comfort working in a multi-site, regional role that may periodically support projects in the Northeast, as well as West, South, and Midwest regions when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of facility and construction projects, including new construction, tenant fit-outs, asset replacements, site repairs, and property maintenance work for office, warehouse, and distribution campus locations.
  • Follow a documented process for estimating, planning, scheduling, executing, and closing out project work in accordance with established procedures.
  • Prepare pre-construction estimates and conduct bid reviews, including soliciting pricing from subcontractors and assembling proposals for client funding consideration.
  • Develop and present detailed project plans and schedules, using tools such as Microsoft Project, to internal peers and stakeholders for review prior to implementation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for subcontractors, clearly explaining project plans, schedules, expectations, and site requirements.
  • Provide on-site supervision of all subcontractor work whenever project activities are occurring at the client’s site, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Enforce and follow documented safety procedures, acting as the designated safety representative for project execution and ensuring a safe, well-managed project site.
  • Conduct and lead daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reviews with subcontractors, safety personnel, and project teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Exercise “Stop Work” authority when necessary to address safety concerns, protect client property, or correct non-compliant work.
  • Utilize Autodesk Build / Autodesk Construction Cloud for daily project reporting, punch list documentation, and related project controls.
  • Use the client-specific TERA application, as trained, to support project tracking, reporting, and documentation requirements.
  • Apply strong communication skills to provide daily updates on work in progress to client site representatives, site maintenance technicians, and internal project leadership.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with site stakeholders and the internal project leadership team, reporting all key events, issues, and project activities.
  • Protect the client’s property and interests by monitoring site activities, verifying subcontractor performance, and ensuring that work aligns with the agreed scope and quality standards.
  • Ensure that project work is scheduled and executed at times acceptable to the client and aligned with their production and operational requirements.
  • Complete all project closeout activities, including collection of as-built drawings, warranties, asset information, and all required closeout documentation and invoicing.
  • Use mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets for on-site communication, documentation, and project reporting.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain project records, reports, safety forms, and documentation in accordance with company standards and filing requirements.
