About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager / Estimator to oversee custom residential and light commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion. This hybrid leadership role combines detailed cost estimating with hands-on project management to ensure high-quality builds are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in custom home construction, renovations, and small commercial projects, with the ability to manage multiple active jobs while maintaining clear communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in residential or light commercial construction project management
  • Strong background in construction estimating, budgeting, and cost control
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Solid understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field operations
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Professional, client-facing communication abilities
  • Proficiency with construction management and estimating software

Responsibilities

  • Manage custom residential and light commercial construction projects from bid award through closeout
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and proposals for ground-up and renovation projects
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and scope documents to identify cost drivers and project risks
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and job cost tracking reports
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and material procurement
  • Monitor jobsite progress to ensure safety compliance, quality control, and schedule adherence
  • Manage change orders, contract documentation, and project reporting
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure alignment between estimates and field execution
  • Communicate proactively with clients regarding project scope, timelines, and budgets
