About The Position

The Construction Project Management Intern will manage and track facility-related construction and design projects, working with internal and external stakeholders to provide a quality product to employees and bank customers. The intern will gain construction knowledge through office and field-related activities and assist the Design and Construction department in compiling process and procedure documentation.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate level students enrolled in a Bachelor's level Construction Engineering or Management/Architectural/Civil Engineering degree program (3rd and 4th year students only).
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
  • Positive attitude and customer service mindset.
  • Time/project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to reason and make basic decisions unsupervised.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to compose or create routine reports and correspondence.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

  • Involved in project management, estimating, design, construction, marketing, security, AV, and accounting.
  • Work with Design and Construction Manager, Department Program/Project Manager, and Architect to generate project scope, drawings, and specifications.
  • Assist with compiling overall project budgets for submission and approval.
  • Solicit General Contractor involvement with pricing and project construction cost.
  • Follow up with contractors and vendors to ensure satisfactory completion of work.
  • Assemble project directories, schedule project calls, and issue meeting minutes.
  • Visit job sites with Design and Construction Manager or Department Program Manager to ensure projects are running smoothly.
  • Gain onsite management and meeting experience in Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings.
  • Review contractor proposals and bid tabs.
  • Supervise contractor punch-list and QA/QC activities.
  • Assist with department process and procedure training and documents.
  • Participate in facility project meetings.
  • Support the Facility Management team by managing current deliverables and submitting them in a well-organized and timely fashion.
  • Work with vendors to ensure projects are updated and communications are handled professionally.
