About The Position

Full Service Chimney™ offers the nation’s first Registered Apprenticeship for Fireplace and Chimney Repair Technicians, with a pathway to Journeyman-level leadership. As a Construction Project Leader Apprentice , you’ll begin as a Field Technician Assistant, learning side-by-side with industry experts. Our Registered Apprenticeship Program is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals . You’ll start with paid, hands-on training in our Apprenticeship program to build your skills and confidence in the trade. This role begins with hands-on repair work in the field. Over time, the right person can grow into leading crews, organizing work, maintaining quality standards, mentoring others, and helping improve field systems and processes. Once invited to join, apprentices receive paid, on-the-job training and technical instruction, ultimately preparing them for certification and advancement into project leadership roles. Whether you’re starting fresh or bringing construction experience, our program provides the training, support, and opportunities you need to grow and thrive.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Undergo a background check and drug screening
  • Pass fitness and aptitude assessments
  • Able to lift up to 60-80 lbs confidently
  • Able to climb ladders and build scaffolding at heights for lengthy periods, regardless of weather conditions
  • Reliable daily commute to Spring Hill, KS, or willing to relocate
  • Strong math skills and the ability to read a tape measure
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn

Nice To Haves

  • Construction or labor experience is a plus, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
  • ROTC or military experience is a plus
  • Problem-solvers who ask questions and apply new skills quickly

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior technicians with inspections, repairs, and installations
  • Safely work at heights (ladders, scaffolding, rooftops) year-round
  • Operate tools and handle physical tasks such as lifting and material handling
  • Help repair and reline fireplaces, chimneys, and venting systems
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain equipment
