About The Position

The Construction Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating internal construction project activities from project initiation to project closure in accordance with project requirements and constraints, time, budget, and quality, under the direction of the AVP Project Management or PMO Manager.

Requirements

  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
  • A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (PMI certifications in lieu of a degree).
  • The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Facilitation and communication skills
  • Budgeting and technical skills such as proficiency working with Microsoft Office products and project management software.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all construction project documentation through all aspects of all construction projects. Coordinates signatures and approvals at all stages of the project.
  • Maintain full schedule construction project plans and update such plans according to project performance or to integrate approved project change request.
  • Track and report project progress in cooperation with the AVP Project Management and Facilities and Construction Manager
  • Coordinate internal project team meetings and develop meeting agendas. Ensure internal team deliverables are completed on time, to the required level of quality, and at or under budget.
  • Coordinate testing and validation of deliverables to ensure they meet requirements prior to implementation.
  • Effectively employ PMI methodologies and adhere to Pen Air Credit Union’s Project Management Framework
  • Perform other job duties as assigned
