Requirements

  • 2-years of relevant experience in municipal construction contract administration or a similar municipal field
  • Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in construction, business, accounting, or a related field
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered

Nice To Haves

  • 1-year of federally funded construction contract administration preferred
  • Strong knowledge of public works construction contract administration
  • Experience with federally funded projects and compliance requirements
  • Ability to independently analyze pay estimates and change orders
  • Strong documentation management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in tracking budgets and reporting cost performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers on all public works capital projects
  • Process and manage incoming project correspondence, RFIs, submittals, and related documentation
  • Maintain conformed contract documents and track project documentation status
  • Prepare monthly pay estimate packages, including analysis and verification of quantities
  • Monitor and track contract change orders; analyze requests and prepare supporting documentation
  • Develop and analyze contractor force account payment packages
  • Attend project progress meetings; prepare and distribute meeting minutes and track action items
  • Monitor and analyze project costs against budgets; provide reporting and highlight issues- Provide contract documentation control and develop project
  • specific document management systems- Prepare departmental and project budget reports; assist with expenditure tracking-
  • Monitor contractor compliance with prevailing wage requirements under City, State, and Federal regulations- Perform related duties as assigned
