About The Position

Parsons is looking for a talented Construction Project Administrator to join our team! In this role you will get to work on the Raleigh-Durham Airport project. This position is responsible for reviewing submittals, reviewing change orders, estimating change orders, construction inspections, document control and daily photo documentation of construction activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or construction-related field and typically 10+ years of related work experience.
  • Requires a working knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, as well as some familiarity with industry practices.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with PC software packages along with Procore typically associated with engineering and construction
  • Potential for performing in a lead capacity on a project.

Responsibilities

  • Performs daily site walks to confirm that construction methods and activities are performed safely and in accordance with construction plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Reviews contractor submittals for compliance with contract documents and prepares reports of any non-compliance items to the Principal Construction Manager.
  • Processes contractor change submittals for price/quantity accuracy once verified as reasonable by the PCO.
  • Reviews specifications for contract compliance and prepares comments on proposed changes.
  • Reviews contractor project schedule and budget for all on-site activities, and monitors progress in meeting schedule and budget requirements, and informs the Principal Construction Manager of results.
  • Organizes and maintains the flow of documents and ensures document meet quality standards and are in compliance with contract documents.
  • Attends weekly job meetings; reviews minutes prepared by the CMAR for accuracy.
  • Anticipates problems and works with client, architects/engineers, subcontractors, and the Principal Construction Manager to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Keeps client and the Principal Construction Manager informed of the day-to-day activities of the project.
  • Reviews designs (written scopes of work and drawings) of accessibility solutions before projects are sent to subcontractor for pricing or solicitation.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
