About The Position

Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. (SEMP) is a leading provider of skilled trade services throughout California, headquartered in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Our Operations team is seeking a Material Handler to process incoming and outgoing HVAC and general construction materials. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in the commercial construction wholesale supply chain or hands-on construction installation experience, along with knowledge of various commercial electrical materials. Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a construction environment or with a wholesale supplier
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly throughout the shift
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle background check
  • English literacy required for written communication via mobile devices, email, and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, and distribute construction materials, tools, equipment, and products
  • Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Perform physical labor to load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets using appropriate equipment
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Perform inventory counts and replenish stock as needed
  • Deliver or retrieve materials using company vehicles as required
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and department guidelines
  • Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned to support departmental operations
