Quality Control Superintendent/Inspector (QCS) Position Summary: As a Quality Control Superintendent/Inspector (QCS), you will serve as the Owner's Representative, providing comprehensive management and oversight for diverse construction projects from inception to completion. This is a Second Shift position (4:00 PM - 12:00 AM). You will be the on-site authority, accountable for ensuring contractor work is completed precisely to specifications.

Requirements

  • Experience working on federal projects is required.
  • OSHA 30-hour Safety Certificate or ability to quickly attain.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiar with scheduling software like Microsoft Project and Primavera 6
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience is required.
  • 5+ years minimum of construction management experience in Federal projects; ranging in size from $1m to $100m.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight & Inspection: Monitor and report on contractor activities daily, verifying adherence to contract, quality, and safety standards. Perform Structural, Architectural, and MEP systems inspections.
  • Project Control: coordinate with the project manager and the 1st shift QCS on quality management issues, and track progress against the scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Administrative Management: review RFIs and submittals, analyze contractor progress payment schedules, three weeks look ahead and work schedule.
  • Financial Review: Track work quantities, review monthly pay applications, and verify billing accuracy.
  • Change Management: help with change order packages preparation.
  • Closeout: Coordinate with the PM and track all testing, deficiency corrections, and complete the final project closeout checklist.
  • Communication: ensure clear communication with the Government project team and stakeholders and submit daily reports.
