About The Position

The Construction Manager / Project Manager will oversee on-site execution for the Atlanta North Campus, a hyperscale data center development located in Cartersville, Georgia. The project spans approximately 126 acres and is designed to support ~150–200 MW of critical IT capacity at full campus buildout. The Construction Manager will be responsible for coordinating construction activities across general contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget while meeting the team's mission-critical quality standards.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of construction management experience, preferably supporting mission-critical or data center projects.
  • Experience managing large-scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, electrical infrastructure, and critical power environments.
  • Proven ability to coordinate general contractors, subcontractors, and engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with construction scheduling tools, project documentation, and reporting systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a professional work environment, including preparing written reports and documentation, conveying information clearly to team members, clients, and stakeholders, and responding appropriately to verbal and written communications related to job duties.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to drive between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and construction-related noise, vibrations, and odors.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and site personnel, and maintain situational awareness in high-activity environments.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety vests, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots, is required.
  • Must have sufficient visual acuity to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage, and to observe site activity.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily construction activities for hyperscale data center development including sitework, structural, electrical, and mechanical scopes.
  • Ensure construction activities align with project schedule, budget, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain project milestones and deliverables.
  • Act as the primary on-site liaison between contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders.
  • Manage contractor performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations and construction standards.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings and track progress across all active construction workstreams.
  • Monitor project schedules and assist in resolving schedule impacts or delays.
  • Review contractor reports, change orders, and construction progress updates.
  • Support project cost tracking and ensure construction activities remain aligned with budget expectations.
  • Ensure construction activities meet the team's mission-critical quality standards and design specifications.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC and commissioning teams to support system readiness and operational requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Maintain strong on-site leadership presence and foster collaboration between all project stakeholders.
  • Identify risks, escalate issues, and develop solutions to maintain construction progress.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to site safety programs.
