About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager (1099 / Independent Contractor) to oversee and coordinate construction, renovation, and build-out projects across multiple office locations. This role will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with company standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator who can manage vendors, control costs, and maintain quality across multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in construction management, project management, or related field
  • Experience managing commercial or office build-outs preferred
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of construction processes, permitting, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Must have own transportation

Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight:
  • Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, execution, and closeout
  • Oversee office build-outs, renovations, and maintenance projects across locations
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Vendor & Contractor Management:
  • Source, vet, and manage general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and timelines
  • Ensure vendors meet quality and performance standards
  • Budget & Cost Control:
  • Develop and manage project budgets
  • Monitor costs and identify savings opportunities
  • Review and approve invoices and change orders
  • Planning & Coordination:
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (HR, Operations, Leadership)
  • Ensure alignment with brand standards and design expectations
  • Manage project schedules and timelines
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
  • Coordinate permits, inspections, and approvals
  • Maintain proper documentation and project records
  • Site Visits & Reporting:
  • Conduct regular site visits across project locations
  • Provide status updates to leadership
  • Identify and resolve issues proactively
