Required Qualifications For all ranks An earned doctoral degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field. ABD may be considered, with the stipulation that the PhD is completed during the first year of employment. An undergraduate degree in Construction Management from an ACCE or ABET accredited institution, or in Construction Engineering or Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution, or a closely related field from a similarly accredited institution. Excellent oral and written English language skills. For the rank of associate professor, in addition to those required above A demonstrated record of excellent teaching abilities. A strong record of research (as PI or co-PI) and peer-reviewed publications associated with external funding adequate to support students. A minimum of six years of teaching experience as a full-time faculty member in a related discipline. For the rank of professor, in addition to those required above A minimum of 12 years of teaching experience as a full-time faculty member in a related discipline. An established national reputation among peers and demonstrated leadership through service to the university, professional organizations, and community or government agencies. The successful applicant will be offered the appropriate rank and title based on the established standards of the university and the Department of Engineering Technology.
