About The Position

At Danforth, we are committed to fostering education and growth by offering an immersive learning experience for students eager to explore and gain practical experience in project management within the mechanical contracting industry. As a Construction Management Intern at Danforth, you will be part of our Project Management group and report directly to an assigned Project Manager/Mentor. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to real projects while learning and applying JW Danforth Standard Operating Procedures outlined in our Project Management Manual.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in an accredited 2- or 4-year Construction Management degree program.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Team in the execution of project tasks and milestones.
  • Assist in pre-construction planning and document control.
  • Monitor installation status and measure labor productivity.
  • Support Foremen and Field Teams by coordinating tools, materials, equipment, and schedules.
  • Gain exposure to Lean construction principles.
  • Collaborate with Shops on fabrication opportunities and improve scheduling/planning processes.
  • Identify project inefficiencies and assist with performance tracking.
  • Participate in project, client, and internal process activities (Procurement, CAD, Document Control, Change Proposals, Closeout).
