Established in 1946, IME is an electrical contracting company who installs and services the power and lighting to many different commercial and industrial buildings in various markets including healthcare, aviation, higher education, solar, electric vehicle charging and government buildings. This summer 2026 Project Management internship is a full-time, paid position that will last for 10 weeks.

Requirements

  • Impeccable integrity and ethics with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in the following areas:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Basic knowledge and experience in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program in Construction Management or Project Management
  • Ability to obtain an OSHA 10 certification within first month.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in project planning, including defining scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Research and evaluate pricing for materials, equipment and subcontractor services.
  • Participate in site visits or pre-bid meetings to gather project details as required.
  • Support preconstruction teams with data driven analysis for bid strategies, forecasting, and resource planning.
  • Collaborate with preconstruction and estimating to streamline data processes and reporting needs.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Gain exposure to project management software including Procore and MS Project, as well as trade specific software including Accubid and Change Order Pro.
