About The Position

The Project Management Intern at FTI is designed to provide hands-on experience in electrical planning, engineering, and project management. This role focuses on enhancing the intern's industry knowledge and career progression through collaboration with Project Management and Preconstruction teams on various projects. The position emphasizes employee growth, safety, and the utilization of advanced technologies in the field.

Requirements

• Enrolled in an accredited institution and actively working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering.
• Proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Relevant coursework, academic projects, or prior internships related to construction or project management are advantageous.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Accubid and AutoCAD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the planning, organizing, and staffing of electrical and/or specialty systems construction projects.
• Visits various jobsites and interacts with crew, customers, foreman, and general contractors.
• Reviews assigned portions of outgoing estimates with the Estimating Department to ensure accuracy.
• Contacts vendors to obtain materials for construction projects.
• Attends weekly and monthly meetings (e.g., Staffing Meeting, Project Manager Meeting, Sales Meeting).
• Processes miscellaneous paperwork.
