About The Position

AECOM is a global infrastructure consulting firm that partners with clients to solve complex challenges and build legacies. They are seeking a Construction Intern for their Leading Builders Group (LBG) in New York, NY, with the position expected to begin in May 2026. LBG is a New York-based construction manager specializing in open shop commercial, residential, and hospitality projects. The intern will perform a variety of entry-level assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Responsibilities include following instructions from senior staff and meeting required schedules while producing quality work. Requirements

Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management, Real Estate or similar discipline and must have completed at least 1 year of study.
Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions.
Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Nice To Haves

Experience working for a large general contractor.
Previous relevant internship experience.
Exposure to other construction-based computer programs.
Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
