Your Opportunity + Impact LDG is currently seeking qualified Construction Inspectors for heavy Civil and Water/Wastewater type projects in Canandaigua, NY. Candidates with experience in water/wastewater treatment plants, roadway construction, and trench work will be considered. Project documentation requires detailed daily reports with basic computer skills.

Requirements

GED or high school diploma required.
Licensures/Certifications: NICET Level II or higher in Highway Construction, NECEPT Bituminous Field & Concrete, and ACI preferred
Must possess valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

Previous Construction Inspection experience preferred.
Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines effectively.
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project team.

Responsibilities

Inspects, observes, and documents construction activities for Civil and /or Transportation projects including description of contractor work activities, labor and equipment identification and quantity, and performance of various measurements of payment.
Uses computer software programs to document observations and create inspection reports.
Continuously monitors work of contractors and communicates regularly with project team to ensure timely completion of project.
Interacts with clients, contractors, sub-contractors, government agency representatives, and other parties on a regular basis.
Communicates information, responds to inquiries, and helps resolve field issues to ensure successful completion of projects.
Responsible for obtaining and maintaining required certifications.
Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Utilizes technical references appropriately for the inspection of structural, concrete, earthwork, building, and mechanical components.
