About The Position

AECOM is actively seeking a Construction Inspector III for immediate employment in Orange, CA. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Under general supervision, performs routine duties. Displays knowledge and abilities to evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications. Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work. Independently performs walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design. Performs quantity surveys for tracking and reporting. May provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors.

Requirements

  • BA/BS + 2 years of relevent experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Valid driver's license, MVR check required

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
  • Construction engineering or field engineering experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction specifications, building codes, and industry standards
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to perform site inspections and prepare detailed technical reports
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and construction documentation
  • Familiarity with quantity surveying methodologies and cost estimation
  • Proven experience providing technical supervision and direction to field personnel
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA compliance, and construction safety best practices
