Construction Inspector II - PW
About The Position
Provides leadership in and conduct inspections of County roadways, stormwater systems, parks & trails system and other Public Works construction projects for compliance with applicable regulations. The position is responsible for training and supervising subordinate inspectors, performing construction inspection and plan review, maintaining inspection/review records, and performing related administrative and technical tasks as assigned. This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Requires high school diploma or GED, and one year of college or vocational school education in construction management/inspection or a closely related field.
- Requires a valid Florida driver's license.
- Requires certification in the Advanced Maintenance of Traffic course or ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of employment.
- Requires certification in the Florida Stormwater Erosion and Sedimentation Control course or the ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of employment.
