About The Position

Handex is on the move — and we want you to join us! Handex is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Construction Field Technician to join our O&M Remediation Team. Handex Consulting & Remediation, LLC is a full-service environmental company focused on providing professional environmental consulting, remediation, construction and sludge dewatering services in the United States. Founded in 1968, we have over 58 years of experience and have no intention of slowing down! What will be my responsibilities: Reporting to the supervisor, you will perform general construction and remediation work for client job assignments. Install and assemble materials as directed at job sites with a focus on PVC piping, including cutting and gluing. Assist with site preparation and cleanup and proactively ensures that job sites (indoor/outdoor) areas are organized, and free of debris. Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with fieldwork, vehicle and safety protocols. Provide high-end customer service and professionally represent Handex at all times.

Requirements

  • Solid foundation and knowledge of general construction practices and use of equipment and tools.
  • 1 year of experience with PVC pipe installation (cutting and gluing) required.
  • Comfortable taking work direction and performing tasks that require walking and standing for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work in varying weather conditions and locations, some of which may require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to work day shift (M-F) and overtime when required.
  • Highly reliable team player with a good work ethic and excellent customer service, a must.
  • Candidates must be willing to travel to NJ job sites and reside within a 45-minute radius of our Jackson NJ office.
  • Clean/Valid driver license in good standing and ability to pass background checks (criminal/drug/alcohol/DMV) required.

Nice To Haves

  • Environmental knowledge a plus.
  • OSHA 40 certification preferred, but not required.
