Position Description Key Responsibilities: Inspection and Compliance: Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications. Inspect mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural systems to verify proper installation and functionality. Identify and document any deviations from approved plans and specifications and recommend corrective actions. Quality Assurance: Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices. Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents. Perform tests and inspections on materials and equipment to ensure they meet required standards. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and other relevant documentation. Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding inspection results and project status. Coordination and Support: Collaborate with project teams to resolve construction issues and ensure timely project completion. Provide technical support and guidance to contractors and construction personnel. Participate in project meetings and provide input on construction methods, materials, and schedules Skills and Competencies appropriate to the Jr., Mid or Sr. Level qualifications: Knowledge of construction codes, standards, and regulations. o Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in using inspection tools and software. Construction Inspectors with 1+, 8+, and 15+ years of relevant experience could be considered. Experience in Maryland is preferred. Degree Requirement for Position High School Diploma Preferred: Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural or Geotechnical or Environmental or Electrical or Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. Certifications: (e.g., ICC, NICET) are highly desirable. Expected Position Start Date: 12/1/2025 Expected Duration of Assignment: Through March 2026 and potential 2-year extensions thereafter Note : This position is not limited to day shifts.
