About The Position

Direct Hire Staff-Up is seeking a Construction Rental Equipment Mechanic for a large construction material business in Hutto, TX! Pay Rate: $25-$35 NOTE: MUST HAVE CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE!! Job description: This position requires the level of knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to diagnose and repair all makes of medium & heavy-duty construction equipment. Some duties include removing, cleaning, repairing, reinstalling, and adjusting vehicle components, including engine components, fuel systems, and the like.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand schematics
• High School Diploma or GED
• Computer-assisted troubleshooting experience
• Construction Equipment and vehicle maintenance
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds, full use of arms/hands to use tools, must be able to climb up and off equipment and be able to see close as well as distant
• Requires a valid and current driver’s license
• Concrete Construction: 5 years (Required)
• Construction Equipment : 5 years (Required)
• Ability to Commute: Hutto, TX 78634 (Required)

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair construction equipment such as Skid Steers, Excavators, Curb Saws.
• Must have own tools!
• Inspect and repair forklifts, tractors, and trailers
• Perform all required maintenance inspections and safety checks as required
• Help service customers with their equipment
• Troubleshoot and submit repair bids to Service Manager
• Perform required Preventive Maintenance (oil change, lube, filter changes, etc.)
