This Construction Engineer role provides the opportunity to serve as the primary face of Foth for one of our largest infrastructure clients in a fast‑paced aviation civil environment. Based in our Des Moines, IA office, you’ll support and execute construction efforts across multiple active projects while partnering closely with a client who values Foth for our responsiveness, collaboration, and ability to deliver when it matters most. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent technical experience
  • Minimum 5 years of construction management/administration experience in aviation or municipal infrastructure construction
  • Previous software experience with ProCore, Appia, Submittal Exchange or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of construction management and administrative experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Perform construction administration, observation, and leadership activities, including coordination of construction activities between our design team, our construction observers, the contractors, and the client.
  • Support construction observers with resolution of construction technical issues.
  • Manage and coordinate construction schedules with airport operations.
  • Engage in planning and design activities during low construction activity periods.
  • Work collaboratively and build effective relationships with project engineers and contractors
  • Conduct project constructability reviews to support planning and bidding elements of the project
  • Oversee regulatory compliance with the FAA and other regulatory entities.
  • Organize and conduct weekly project progress meetings with the PM, client, and contractors
  • Ensure adherence to project specifications
  • Ability to work limited nights and weekends to support client requests/projects
