In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide variety of construction equipment, both in the shop and out in the field. Mechanical Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and transmissions. Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical issues and make data-driven repairs. 2. Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled PMs on construction equipment and fleet vehicles to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life. Conduct inspections of tires, fluid levels, filters, and wear components using checklists and OEM guidelines. 3. Field Service & Emergency Repairs: Respond to equipment breakdowns on job sites and perform field-based repairs quickly and safely. Communicate with operators and supervisors to assess issues and determine repair priorities. 4. Equipment Variety & Versatility: Maintain and repair a wide range of equipment including: Excavators, dozers, loaders, pavers, rollers, dump trucks, trailers, and company trucks. Flex between shop work and field support based on operational needs. 5. Documentation & Safety Compliance: Accurately record maintenance activities, inspections, and parts used in service software or paper logs. Follow safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company policies at all times. Support DOT and OSHA compliance through proper recordkeeping and safe practices.
