Cost Apprentice is still working on their undergraduate degree and working with us either as an intern or on a part-time basis. The Cost Apprentice assists the cost & commercial management team to complete deliverables successfully by organizing, reviewing, and preparing documents as assigned under the direct supervision of a Senior Cost Manager or above. The cost apprentice will get exposure to our service lines and understanding of the role of cost & commercial management in the successful delivery of projects while learning the skills required.

  • No prior experience required

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of project deliverables in provision of Cost & Commercial management services
  • Maintain Cost & Commercial Management files in an organized manner, according to company standards and process.
  • Assist as needed with preparing documents for proposals, presentations, and Cost & Commercial Management submissions under the direct supervision of the Cost & Commercial Management team.
  • Submit requests for pricing from vendors and sub-contractors for specific scopes, products, and services.
  • Carry out pricing research.
  • Develop understanding of methods of measurement, delivery methods, construction technology and contracts.
  • Enroll in professional organization and commence training for accreditation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Attendance at work during normal business hours.
