Requirements

  • Four years of proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role, ideally within the construction industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong understanding of payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger accounting.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Excellent customer service skills with an ability to develop strong relationships with locations and customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with prevailing wages and associated reporting requirements preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
  • Understand and apply lien laws relevant to project locations and subcontractor payments.
  • Review and maintain customer contracts, ensuring alignment with billing and compliance requirements.
  • Process payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare financial statements, report and assist with budgeting.
  • Ensure compliance with tax filing and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to provide financial insights. Maintain accurate financial records in ERP system.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and invoicing.
  • Assist with annual budget planning and audit preparation.
  • Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
