First Nick Companies is looking for a driven Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team. As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll be the key player ensuring our projects run smoothly-from kickoff to closeout. You'll oversee budgets, schedules, risk management, quality standards, and client expectations while delivering results you can be proud of. Requirements

  • 1-3 years of Project Management experience in the construction industry
  • Experience with Planswift or other estimating software
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and construction management software
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and technical documents
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Valid driver's license with ability to travel to job sites

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and manage project resources, budgets, and timelines.
  • Oversee projects from start-up through closeout, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.
  • Review contracts, drawings, and project scope; resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Conduct site visits and meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Manage change orders, estimates, and project documentation (submittals, samples, safety info).
  • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering collaboration and performance growth.
  • Monitor project costs, prepare billing forecasts, and work with finance to adjust budgets.
  • Ensure timely project closeout, including punch list completion and warranty documentation.
