Assembler 1 An Assembler 1 is responsible for assisting in the assembly of industrial HVAC units. This person should have experience with hand and power tools and the ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16th of an inch. This position helps with the framing, installation of parts, caulking, and cleaning of units. HVAC Assembler 1’s work under the supervision of a lead or senior assembler to ensure quality and safety.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in carpentry, construction, or assembly of HVAC units preferred.
Proficiency using hand and power tools such as drills, saws, and grinders.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Physical stamina and ability to perform job functions.

Responsibilities

Learn safety procedures and adheres to them strictly.
Reach out to safety rep in shop for questions.
Goes to Safety Supervisor with issues.
Performs basic assembly tasks under close supervision.
Caulking, squaring, cleaning, peeling plastics, Jamb Installation, blower canvas install, and proper snip use.
Assists in the construction of industrial HVAC units according to blueprints and specifications.
Handles tools and equipment with guidance.
Power tools such as drills, grinders, sander
Responsible for cleaning work areas and maintaining equipment.
Learns and follows all quality procedures.
Assists higher-level assemblers as required.
Develops foundational skills in HVAC construction assembly.
Participates actively in on-the-job- training programs.
Actively listens to instruction from higher level personnel.
Communicates all needs and questions clearly and concisely with leadership.
Assists in all other assigned duties.
