Duties include: Active role in deconstructing electronic components Translate hands on experience to find technological solutions to improve processes and procedures Support development by designing fixtures, software, and/or non-traditional techniques Make technical decisions based on skills and training in the use of test equipment and associated systems Notify and discuss technical problems with engineering personnel, contractors, or other government representatives as necessary

Requirements

  • Vocational/technical training beyond high school in electronics or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience working with electronics components
  • Hands-on experience with handling and testing small parts, such as microelectronics
  • Knowledge of electronic components and device operating characteristics
  • Understanding and utilization of laboratory safety practices, including chemical safety
  • Ability to engage in a multidisciplinary team of technicians, scientists, and engineers
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
  • Ability to identify and support opportunities for process improvements through fixture design and integrating new techniques
  • Ability to pass and maintain a DoD Security Clearance (Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance)

Nice To Haves

  • 2- or 4-year degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or Electronics Technology
  • 3 or more years of experience working with electronics components
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in laboratory environments, including operation of microscopes and other analytical equipment
  • Basic knowledge of microelectronic construction and materials
