About The Position

IMEG is hiring a Construction Administrator in Rock Island, IL, to support building projects through construction-phase services and coordination. In this role, you’ll help interpret architectural and engineering design documents, collaborate with project stakeholders, and support quality, code-compliant outcomes in the field. You will also travel as needed to support project needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Science) or Associate Degree preferred in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent
  • 6 years of experience minimum required, 10 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry
  • OR
  • Associates degree, or certificate, in Construction Management or Engineering preferred
  • 10 years of experience minimum required, 14 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry
  • Must be familiar with design processes and interpretation of architectural and engineering design documents
  • Knowledge of design and construction techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of technical plans and drawings
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings and structures
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
  • Ability to travel 20-50% with occasional overnight stays
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Support construction-phase activities by interpreting architectural and engineering design documents and communicating design intent to project stakeholders
  • Coordinate with internal design teams and external partners to help resolve field questions and keep work aligned with project requirements
  • Assist with construction documentation and project records, including written communications and status updates
  • Support reviews of construction-related information for alignment with design documents and project standards
  • Participate in project meetings and stakeholder communications to track progress, issues, and next steps
  • Provide field support and coordination as needed, including travel to project sites (with occasional overnight stays)
  • Promote effective collaboration and professional communication across the project team
  • Help maintain organized project files and deliverables using standard office tools
