We are hiring a Construction Accounting Specialist II to support project-based financial operations across fabrication and installation work. This role is ideal for: ✔ Level 2 accountants with hands-on experience ✔ Public accounting professionals transitioning to private industry ✔ Project accountants who want deeper ownership of job cost and project performance You will play a critical role in job costing, WIP reporting, project billing, and revenue recognition — partnering directly with Project Managers and Operations leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2–4 years of accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations)

Nice To Haves

• Construction or project-based accounting experience
• Job costing, WIP, and project billing exposure
• Public accounting background (audit or tax) with interest in industry accounting (This role is not intended for medical billing or automotive dealership accounting backgrounds.)

Responsibilities

• Maintain project setup, budgets, and cost codes
• Track labor, materials, subcontractor, and overhead costs by project
• Prepare and analyze WIP schedules and revenue recognition entries
• Review project margins and forecast adjustments with Project Managers
• Match invoices to purchase orders, contracts, and receiving documentation
• Issue progress billings, milestone invoices, and change order billing
• Support AR collections related to project timelines
• Accruals, reconciliations, and job cost analysis
• Assist with financial reporting tied to project profitability
