About The Position

Boater’s World Marine Centers is seeking a driven Consignment Sales Consultant to proactively bring boats into the dealership. This is a high-activity, outbound-driven sales role focused on outreach, follow-up, and relationship building with boat owners looking to sell. It is not a passive sales position and requires energy, persistence, organization, and the ability to manage a large pipeline of conversations. The role is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in outside sales, inside sales, hospitality, call centers, or collections, offering a commission-driven earning opportunity with strong upside. This position is critical for sourcing and securing inventory, providing a constant flow of conversations with sellers and buyers, and is supported by an established dealership with strong brand recognition and year-round inventory demand. The role offers clear expectations, a structured process, and a supportive team.

Requirements

  • Background in high-volume sales, inside sales, outside sales, hospitality, call centers, collections, or commission-based roles
  • Comfortable with outbound outreach, follow-ups, and pipeline management
  • High energy, motivated, and comfortable making frequent outbound calls
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deals at once
  • Confident working toward goals and commissions
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, inventory tools, and Microsoft Office
  • Self-starter with urgency, accountability, and follow-through
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

  • Marine, automotive, RV, equipment, or consignment experience is a plus
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for boat owners interested in consigning their boats, trailers, and marine equipment
  • Proactively reach out to prospective sellers through outbound calls, email follow-ups, inbound leads, and in-person conversations
  • Clearly explain the consignment process, pricing strategy, timelines, and expectations
  • Build urgency, maintain momentum, and move sellers from interest to signed consignment agreements
  • Manage a high-volume pipeline of seller conversations and opportunities
  • Track and manage leads from first contact through intake and sale
  • Maintain consistent follow-up to prevent deals from stalling
  • Coordinate closely with internal sales and management teams to align on pricing and strategy
  • Assist buyers and sellers through the transaction process once inventory is onboarded
  • Evaluate incoming consignment units and assist with pricing, condition notes, and market positioning
  • Ensure inventory details are accurate, complete, and entered correctly into dealership systems
  • Monitor inventory status and maintain strong organization across multiple active listings
  • Deliver a professional, responsive experience to boat owners and buyers
  • Answer questions confidently and resolve issues quickly
  • Ensure all documentation, contracts, and records are completed accurately and in compliance with dealership standards
  • Work closely with sales, service, and leadership teams to support dealership growth goals
  • Contribute to a high-energy, team-driven environment where activity and execution matter
