Connections Coordinator - Culture Team

Neighbors Bank
16h$60,000 - $80,000Remote

About The Position

At Neighbors Bank, Culture and connection aren’t just “nice to have.” They’re foundational to how we care for our people and make NB a great place to work. We’re looking for a Connections Coordinator who brings intention, empathy, humor, energy, and follow-through in elevating how our people experience belonging, care, and community – whether that connection happens on Slack, on WebEx, or in-person. This role lives at the intersection of culture, creativity, and execution. From planning unforgettable in-person events to sparking genuine connection in a remote environment, you’ll help ensure our people feel close to one another and to our mission, no matter where they work. You’ll design and support moments that make people feel seen and supported, while also owning the details that bring those moments to life, from event planning and logistics to adapting in real time as needs change. Neighbors Bank is a fully remote company with an award-winning culture, and connection is not a perk here, it is a priority.

Requirements

  • Experience with leading groups of people in a way that brings energy to the group and makes everyone feel included
  • Have experience planning events, building community, or creating engaging group experiences
  • Have high emotional intelligence and can read the room—even when the room is virtual
  • Are highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable when juggling multiple projects
  • Communicate clearly, warmly, and confidently, both written and verbal
  • Are comfortable working independently in a high-trust environment
  • Have a great sense of humor and genuinely believe laughter belongs at work
  • Can handle sensitive or confidential information with care and maturity
  • Have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and can lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute company events, both in person and virtual, including a company-wide retreat, an annual rewards trip, new hire experiences, and smaller team gatherings as needed.
  • Host remote groups; as the energetic facilitator, you will help lead book groups, interest groups, coffee chats, informal hangouts, and more – giving people various ways to connect and build connections with others.
  • Own the details that make events run smoothly, from coordinating vendors and negotiating pricing to tracking expenses, managing timelines, and keeping everything organized.
  • Help bring culture to life by brainstorming, researching, and using your creativity to roll out new activities, perks, and “wow moments” that support a culture of care.
  • Build strong relationships with people across the company, getting to know them in a way that you can provide support as needed and find thoughtful, low-pressure ways to help people get engaged and feel included.
  • Support care initiatives and jump in where needed alongside the People Services team.
  • Adapt and evolve to allow us to continue to improve in all aspects of what we do.
